  • An individual undertaking this course with Allens Training Pty Ltd will need to demonstrate the following to be eligible for entry:

    • Communication skills sufficient to engage in effective dialogue, and understand complex concepts related to mental health

    Online study options:  The online learning program can be found in the student portal. Students must have access to a computer, smart phone, tablet or other electronic device with access to the internet to complete the online studies and practical assessment.

    Please note: It is expected that the online pre-course learning will take up to 3 hours to complete. 

    However, these are approximate timeframes only. Individuals who previously completed similar training may complete the online component in a shorter timeframe. An individual who is new to training may take longer to work their way through all the learning content and theory questions. 

  • Individuals undertaking this course will be expected to complete both written and practical assessment tasks. These assessments are designed to ensure that participants have a thorough understanding of first aid principles and are able to apply them effectively in real-life situations. It is important to approach these tasks with diligence and attention to detail, as they are integral to gaining certification and ensuring competency in providing first aid and CPR. Participants will receive guidance and resources to help them succeed in these assessments, fostering confidence in their skills.

  • This certificate does not require renewal

  • Please note that enrolment to this course is made with Allens Training Pty Ltd RTO 90909. Please refer to the student handbook located on the RTO website allenstraining.com.au (https://allenstraining.com.au/students/student-handbook) for all details relating to rights and responsibilities including complaints and appeals.

  • Practical task demonstrations:

    • Case Study: Demonstrate an understanding of mental health

    • Scenario 1 - Provide Support for a mental health concern

    • Scenario 2 - Provide Support for a mental health crisis

    Theory assessment - A written assessment consisting of multiple choice and short answer questions. All questions must be completed.

We are flexible and recognise that appointments and life can sometimes get in the way, and you may need to transfer the course date. Whilst we do offer 1 free transfer per students there may be additional fees

More than 10 days before the course -
Full refund.

Less than 10 days before the course - 75% refund.

After the course has started - No refund.

Transfers - Free transfer to another short course if dates are available.

Extenuating Circumstances - Full credit toward future courses may be offered.

Course Cancellation by Regional First Aid - Full refund or alternative arrangements if the course cannot be fulfilled.

We also do an administration fee of $25 depending on the circumstances

Based in regional SA, we have grown into a trusted provider across industries like healthcare, construction, education, and community services. Our courses range from First Aid and CPR to Low Voltage Rescue, Medication Training, Sharps and Infection Control, White Card Training, Aged Care Support, and Mental Health First Aid.

Our training is practical and real-world focused, using authentic scenarios to ensure participants feel confident to act in emergencies. We also offer CITB-funded opportunities, making essential training more accessible.
